I asked for the list of interviewers and I couldn’t find any for Canada.

Does this mean that Canadians don’t go through the interview process?

Thanks!

no no, we get interviews. at least, we do if we don't live in the middle of nowhere.
i know that alums come to Toronto, and i'm pretty sure they go other places as well.

I sent an email to the Admissions office and they replied saying that once they process my application, an alum will contact me.

However, in the Harvard application supplement, there's a question stating if you're going to schedule an interview or not. So if I answer no (according to the email reply, they contact us), what would be my reason for saying no?

Thanks again :)

Unless you live in a part of Canada so remote that it can be reached only by dogsled, Harvard will very likely find you and schedule an interview.

I wouldn't recommend indicating on the app that you don't want an interview. They might wonder why.

exactly.. i personalyl would be delighted by an interview. at the very least i'll say harvard interviewed me!

umm I got an e-mail saying someone replied with "NO, who likes Canadians anyways." anyone else get that?

LOL. never did get THAT little beauty in my mailbox. what genius sent that?

purplecandle, that part is required only for students applying from schools outside the US and Canada. If you're outside from the US or Canada, you should have filled in that part. If you want to change what you wrote at the time, you can send an e-mail to intladm@fas.harvard.edu with 'International Interview' on the subject line.

For your other question, Canadians really don't get interviews. I guess it's just the high number of students applying to Harvard that's hindering the process. I'm Canadian myself living in Vancouver, B.C., but I only got a letter telling me about the current process, not anything about the interviews.

tennisdude has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Do Canadians get interviews? - in the Harvard University forum of College Discussion.
Here is the message that has just been posted:

Canadians certainly do get interviews. Mine is tonight, and I live in Halifax. I know there are at least 5 alumni that live near me.

I don't know about Halifax, but in Vancouver, I guess there are too many students that are applying. The fact is that not all students get interviews.
