Hi, I recently took a few transferable courses at my local community college in California and I got around a 3.6 cumulative. I’m about to enter my freshmen year at a UC and I was wondering if only the credits of the courses are transferred or if the GPA of the CC courses will also transfer. Thanks in advance!
No, alas, your CCC GPA does not move over with you.
However, if you later apply to another school (e.g. transfer, graduate school, medical school, law school), then all college courses and grades need to be reported and will be considered (though not necessarily the same way by all of these possible types of schools).
