Do classes start 5 minutes after the stated time?

Ok so it turns out some of my classes are kind of back to back and I only have like 10 minutes to get to the other side of campus for my next class. Do classes start a little later than the scheduled time for students who need to go to different campuses?

No some of the professors start on time.

so there are no passing periods? do they not give students enough time to get to different points in campus?

The classes start according to the professor and the school timetable.

This is not high school; there are hundreds of classes, many starting at the same time. You have to work your schedule around the school’s schedule.

My children rode bikes to get to class on time, or they scheduled their classes at convenient times that worked for their work/lab schedules. My daughter attended Davis, but had a lab in Sacramento. She had to drive on the 80 to get to that class.

When I was in college, I had a class that was 15 minutes away, if I walked fast, so I biked on the campus streets to get to that class on time.

The SF State campus will be a lot easier to navigate on this front than other bigger campuses. You will just have to leave as soon as class is over and make your way to the next class quickly.
