Do College Interviews Have to be Done Before the Admissions Deadline?

I just applied early decision to Cornell, but obviously I'm still going to have to apply to other colleges. However, if I apply to about 10 other colleges (probably less though - at least 7) then I'm going to have to pay about 500 dollars total worth of application fees. The notification date is December 15th though, so I could get around this by waiting until after the notification date to hit the submit button if I don't get in. However, do they do interviews before the deadline or do they do them after it as another step in the process of reviewing the application. I don't want it to be that I apply but can't get do interviews because I applied too late/too close to the deadline.

For some colleges they'll contact you for interviews, others don't have them, and then others have deadlines which they expect the applicant to be aware of, so just educate yourself on each school's application procedure, and then do the interviews for the schools with deadlines before the 15th (don't worry this is alright even if you don't end up applying)
