Do Colleges Accept Late Teacher Recs/Does It Hurt Your Admission Chances?

So, surprise surprise, my teachers are having problems with the Common App over this holiday break (Don't judge me too fast, I actually invited them in early December, not the day before winter break :) ) and can't submit their recommendations. I tried resending them earlier today, so perhaps that'll work and, if not, I'll have to meet with them and my guidance counselor once school resumes (which for me is January 6th). This presents a problem for me since most of the schools I'm applying to have a December 31st/January 1st deadline. I have already submitted my Common App and writing supplement to the schools and have one recommendation done for each school. I was wondering if schools will still review my application even with the one (and in some cases two) missing teacher recommendations, since the rest of my application is complete? And if these schools will allow submission of the recs after the deadline date, do you think that late submissions will hurt my admission likelihood? Thanks for any input!

Bump for answers

I asked the same question the other day. People said it was OK as long as u assign them, then submit. Plus I got this email from Yale .

“Yale will accept documents from your high school sent after the December 31 deadline, but please ask your teachers and counselor to submit their required letters of recommendation and the Secondary School Report with an official transcript as soon as possible. Note that Yale also requires the Midyear Report (or Final Report if you have already graduated), but there is no set deadline. Most secondary schools are able to send a Midyear report in January or February.”
