Do colleges ask for your final A level or IB grades once they are out?

hey. Let's say you had not received your A level or IB results the time you send in your application, do colleges ask for your results once they are out(assuming you got a place in that college)?

Thanks.

I don't know about A levels, but as for IB exams, you won't have most of the scores by the time you are into college. The scores come back in the summer, and acceptances come in the spring, with your accepting a place just after that. However, your HS will send a final transcript to the college with the IB scores included. They will not be used for acceptance, obviously, but they may very well be used for placement or credit, depending on your particular program. The fact that you are taking the IB courses will be what determines your application's status-- rigor of program, etc.

thanks franglish for d reply. I was wondering, is the IB exam split into the first half and second half like the A level? I needed to ask this question because I will be sending in my AS level exam results with the app. But I am not sure if they would dearly require to see my final A2 results. Which if it is markedly worse than my AS, would there be a possibility of me being expelled?

bump.. :) .

Admission is generally contingent upon keeping your grades/test scores at the same level or higher. A small drop is acceptable. A large drop is a matter that you would have to discuss with your school.

okay, so I am in IByr2 at the moment, and all my friends and i have been asking our counsellor and school this repeatedly, with no direct answer....what i understand is that of course, you will get your acceptance or rejection in may and accept a school in may, and you start your IB final exams may 2nd, finish them may 22nd, and our scores won't be sent to us until august....the colleges WILL get sent a copy of the scores, however, in the US they don't hold as much as weight as say, England, where they give you a minimum ammount of points you MUST achieve or your acceptance is taken back.

so basically yes they will ask for your IB grades, but its not a huge deal.
haha okay sorry for saying so much lol
