Do Colleges Care about Mid-Terms?

First quarter I had a C in AP Physics; second quarter I still have a C.

However, my school puts our mid-term grades on the Mid Year Report and I failed the mid-Term. Does this matter since my grade in the class did not change?

I'm not sure if I should be worried about this or not.

They put our midterms on our report cards, so parents get to see them. Our midterms are 1/7 of the semester grade, which is what they use to rank and put on transcripts. So it has some weight, but colleges won’t ever see our specific grade on them; you’d only have to worry if your school puts midterms on transcripts.
Even then, you’ve been consistent, so I doubt it’ll affect their view of your performance on AP Physics, unless you made like a 22 or something.

Obviously less important than the semester average, but it usually is on the transcript, and will probably be noticed. I’d say the damage caused by the C is more significant than the midterm.

"I’m not sure if I should be worried about this or not. "
I don’t understand. What would worrying accomplish? Why would you choose to worry when there is nothing you can do about it?
