I might’ve been unknowingly destroying my chances at every college I’ve applied to. Basically, I took the SAT 6 times, peaking at the second to last and dropping 100 points in the latest one to a 1350. All of my other attempts are in the 1300s. Foolishly as I was requesting my school to send my transcript to the college I’m applying too, I also checked the box for Unofficial SAT score send. I did this for every single college. And yes, they have every SAT score on file. Assuming they sent all my scores, how badly did I screw up my future? I’ve applied to 2 safety, 2 target, and everything else reach for example NYU, Northeastern, Carnegie, Cornell, etc.
And yes I realize now that I didn’t even have to send SAT scores because I already self reported for every college.
Most schools say they will only count the best super score so I recommend you take their word for it. You will never know otherwise.
Check if any schools require an official score report. Those you had to pay to send and be more selective.
Don’t fret- if the rest of your application is strong it should e fine. Good luck!
Do not stress. That is not going to be the thing because there is no one thing that makes or breaks this process. Colleges will look at all of the great components of your application.
Most colleges look at your superscore breakdown of your highest scores and after admissions and deposit checks may spot check the college board datasets that come in.
Go enjoy your senior year and do not squander it worrying about this.
I appreciate it.
Cool, thank you.
