When applying, do colleges care more about if an applicant TOOK an AP course or scored well on the AP exam? I am scheduling for next year (I am a sophomore) and am debating whether or not to take an extra online AP course. I will be taking 2 APs next year, which is the only available APs to juniors at my high school, and 3 other weighted honors courses.

Honors English III (weighted)
French II
Physiology (weighted)
Chemistry
AP Statistics (weighted)
Pre-Cal (weighted)
AP Art History (weighted)

If I were to take the course, I would take AP Environmental Science.I plan to major in Biology/Marine Biology depending on where I go, so this makes the most sense. I will be taking AP Biology and AP chemistry my senior year, so I should have most of the AP sciences down besides physics.

Anyway, I will have a pretty hectic time if I enroll in the extra course. I will be volunteering at several different organizations on top of running my own charitable foundation at my school...I already plan to self study for the AP Human Geo or the AP Psych test...should I just self study for AP Environmental as well? I hear it is not as hard as some other AP exams.....

Any suggestions would be great!
