Do colleges care that I did better in CR than math?

I took the Jan 2013 SAT. It was my first time, and I'm a junior. I really want to study biology in college. My problem is: typically, everyone does better in math than reading, especially for people going into the sciences. I got a 790 in reading, (which made me very happy bc I didn't expect it) and a 710 in math. (Plus a 700 in writing, but my essay killed me in that, and I'm hopeless at grammar) Unlike my friends, I thought the math section was hard.

I'm not saying I'm not happy with this score, because it is more than enough to get me into a state school, but since I want to do biology, should my math score be higher than my CR? In comparison, my math score is low, and I will need to know math for what I want to do. Will this hurt me in comparison to people who got higher scores in math?

No, probably not. But if you’re concerned, you can just retake it as you still have lots of time left before you begin applying.

Not really. Especially if you have good math scores in HS. You could take a maths subject test and compensate for it or retake SAT 1 altogether.
How is math related to biology? It’s related to BME probably, but that involves calculus (esp differential equations). So your AP course in calculus, if any, could cover up for that.

It happened to me, too, and I’ve gotten into the engineering departments of a few schools so far. Then again, I did do better on Math than on Reading on the ACT.
