Do Colleges Combine...

...your highest ACT/SAT scores?

For example, I have a 28 highest composite ACT score in one sitting, but I have a 31 highest composite when combining 3 test dates. Which one would the college consider?

Thanks in advance.

they combine the highest of each particular section.

Thanks for the quick response man.

Also, just for the ACT, is the writing considered as a seperate section or is it combined with the English? Reason being--on the score reports they have a English/Writing combined score. Thanks.

I got a score of 1130 on the new SAT is that a ok score to get in to Temple or even go to a good college?
GPA 3.3

I'm going to say that you should really check with each college on their policies individually. Some colleges will mix scores, but some others will also only take the highest combined score. Thats what happened in my case with the SATs though.

act doesnt add your highest composites. it has to all be in one sitting so your best 'sitting'

lol...
Are you sure rob? In that case I'm pretty screwed...
I guess I'll have to call places

yeah some colleges ask for best sitting, some say best score. i doubt you actually have to call-most colleges say on their applications or on the website, that might make things easier for you
