Do Colleges Consider Virtual High School Grades?

<p>My school only offers AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP US History, and AP English. Our school is primary a sports school. We are all about Football, Track, and Lacross. Therefore there is little recognition for our educational programs. </p>

<p>I'm definitely taking AP Calculus and AP Biology. I was wondering if Colleges will consider grades from accredited Virtual High School courses from various institutions. I'm taking a Bioethics course from VHS.org which will show on my transcript, but will not count for GPA. </p>

<p>Desireed AP courses from a Virtual High School for 11th and 12th Grades are:
AP Chemistry
AP Economics (Micro and Macro)
AP US Government
AP Environmental Science
AP Statistics</p>

<p>(I'm leaning on a science field)</p>

<p>Thanks alot. Do you know the tuition for AP exams an an idividual? I do online classes at flvs.net. Buy Virtual hs seems to have more AP courses that I want to take. </p>

<p>the cost is $800 a course. I would not recommend this school based on their price</p>

<p>by the way, its $800 for an AP course- 2 Semesters. The other course are $450</p>

<p>Im taking AP Physics on vhs. on my year off in taking the courses there and they will send a report ot my colleges.</p>

<p>cryptic_fate, maybe you were asking about courses, but AP exams at my school cost $85 each. There are no AP courses at my school, so I assume this would be the cost for a normal outsider wanting to take AP exams but not courses? Am not sure though. Perhaps check on collegeboard.com.</p>
