I have to take the sat if I want to qualify for the concurrent enrollment at a community college. They don’t accept PSAT score’s, for sum reason they are an extremely difficult community college. The only other alternative is to take the Accuplacer. I am worried that if I take it in the 10th grade, it will not be 99 percentile . Do you think I schools just take the sat or the Accuplacer?
Why not take the Accuplacer? It isn’t a big deal, and then you don’t have to worry about your SAT score being low.
Both of my older girls took the Compass test (what our cc campus uses) because I didn’t know that the PSAT could be used for placement for them. My youngest just used her PSAT scores.
If the choice had been to take the SAT or the placement test for cc, I would definitely have opted for the placement test.
Universities are not going to care about or request your Accuplacer score.
Colleges that request all scores (a handful of top colleges) would see 9th/10th grade SAT scores.
My son said accuplacer was easy and quick.
Thanks!
