i am considering taking AP Gov & politics and AP psych next year as a junior, both of which i am very interested in, however will it look better if i take what are considered "harder" APs, such as AP Bio or Chemistry?

makes no difference.

I have heard it can make a difference, such as AP Chemistry vs. AP Human Geography.

admissions probably will consider the greater difficulty of AP chem over psych-especially if you get a lower score/grade in Chem-but both are still college credit and weighted pretty similarly admissions wise. Personally, just take the classes you want to be in. I didn’t take Chem or Bio, but I took Gvt and Psych as well as some others.

Even if it did make a difference, how do you know the admissions officers will place the harder difficulty on the sciences? Perhaps they think foreign languages are harder, or history or calculus. See what I mean? Thats why I say its not that important of a factor.

^they can probably generalize difficulty by looking at passing rates. but i do agree that it’s not that important of a factor

By passing rate, Calc BC is easier than AP Human Geo…

So passing rate isn’t a good measure of difficulty.
