Do colleges ever make mistakes in the online decisions?

I can't believe it. :( I got waitlisted at Harvard and Dartmouth so far. Do they ever make mistakes in posting them online?

please? someone help? :(

i think you know the answer to that

please telll me!!!!!!! :( :( Someone?

and I got rejected from Princeton. tell me this isn't true

They probably DONT make mistakes like that, because they know how much it means to students. i doubt anybody here knows for sure. thousands of other students are in the same spot as you, and you more than likely got into other good schools. It's not the end of the world, and you should go on to do good things at whatever school you attend.

So does that also mean the inverse is true? That my acceptance to Yale is also not a mistake?

Either last year or the year before, one of the Universities of California accidentally sent out acceptance letters to those who should have been rejected. ouch

Usually schools are very meticulous in posting their admissions decisions though. Sorry for the disappointing news. Keep in mind that the schools you listed are very competitive... thousands and thousands were rejected.

Congrats on Yale, virtuoso. Look on the bright side- it makes it easier to choose. :)

Congrats on Yale.... I guess you were posting as I was typing.

Yale's acceptance should make up for being waitlisted.

thanks

the main thing i'm worried about is that the Yale thing might be a mistake. what if it is?
