I have already submitted all but one of my transfer applications, but for my top choice school, I used bullets in my main essay. Not that it makes a difference, but is it frowned upon? Do colleges mostly assume that you're lazy or do they think that you're original? I also did not want to write a super fluffed bs essay and for whoever is reading it to get bored.

I know it also depends on the type of essay, but stilll.....Opinions?

I think it can really depend WHAT the bullets are used for. If it’s a boring list of activities, for instance, or something of that sort, then it’s probably a pretty negative aspect. An essay is supposed to be just that-an essay- but I do think it’s always a good idea for originality to show through. If the bullets are being CREATIVELY used, and it doesn’t ruin the flow, then I think it can be a nifty idea. However, just be careful with them. I realize this is sort of a wishy-washy answer, but I hope it helps. Good luck!
