Hey everyone! I'm a rising senior and a Puerto Rican living on the island. I have some concerns about my upcoming application process, but the main one is that I'm not sure that the schools I'm looking at have information on the schools here. I've read that most colleges have profiles and information on schools in particular regions, but I don't know if this applies to P.R. This is really important to me because I go to one of the most difficult schools on the island (specialized public school) but I'm not sure that this will be taken into account when schools look at my application. The schools I'm most interested in are Princeton, UChicago and Wellesley. Does anyone know if these schools (or other elite schools for that matter) have info on schools here in Puerto Rico?

When you send your HS transcript to colleges, your HS GC should include a Profile of your HS. This Profile includes information about your HS, including demographics, grading system, courses offered, etc. Here’s an example from the College Board:

[Sample High School Profile](Sample High School Profile – Counselors | College Board)

In addition, on the Secondary School Report, your HS GC will indicate how demanding your class schedule was given what your school offers and what other students take:

Your SAT/ACT scores, GPA, Extracurrilar Activities are a significant part of it. You can always elaborate on your school and get letters from your GC that provide deeper info on the difficutly of the school. Schools like GA TEch, Purdue, Duke, and many others know the main schools in PR because they recruit there. I know that GA Tech for sure does.

Thank you so much!! :D
