The biggest thing im going to miss about being at home will provably be cooking. Can students cook at college? If so what are the kitchens, like? Etc. Colleges Im looking at: Boston University, NYU, UC Berkeley, UCLA, trinity college of Dublin, .....etc.

Most dorms will have a small kitchen available with stove, sink, microwave, maybe a fridge. Many students buy or rent minifridges for their rooms. So in most dorms, it is possible to cook a decent meal.

It depends on the dorm. Some will have one per floor, some will only have a couple for the whole building. You’ll probably have to bring your own cookware. Definitely google the housing websites for those schools and click around for a bit.

Definitely depends. I have a friend who said that in her building, there was not a kitchen anywhere, so she had no choice.

At my college, every residential building has a kitchen in some form. My dorm only had about 180 people in it, so we had one kitchen to share. The larger high rises had one on each floor. The apartment buildings obviously had a kitchen per apartment.

When you tour schools, they’ll probably include this information, so definitely check it out.
