Do colleges know about "easy AP classes"

Im going to be a junior in less than 20 days :)
schedule:

-AP Lang
-AP Psych
-AP Art History
-Advanced Algebra 2 (average math level)
-French 4 (maybe)
-Normal History (just decided not to take it a few days ago)
(elective that is an automatic A, but is apart of a high school graduation requirement)

sooo do colleges know ap psych and art history are "easy APs"?

well, I suppose that since so many people take it, they must suspect something, and I haven’t heard of art history as easy - it’s hard for most people.

anyway, even if they do know, they can’t refuse to acknowledge that you took it

Art History is actually hard; I’ve heard there is A LOT of things to memorize.

Regarding AP Psych, your college will never look down upon you for taking the class. If they think of it as an “easy” class, you will just receive less (or none at all) credit for taking the class.

yeah thats what Im worried about… I actually am interested in psych, but i dont want to be affected negatively when I start applying to colleges… and I think Im going to think twice about Art his, TBH, it sounded easy :/

new question, what’s harder AP Art History or AP US History?

The colleges are more impressed with a 3+ on these AP courses than the people on CC are, which shows they actually “know” more about the APs than many high school students.

If you want to pursue psych, take psych. You can probably get lots of students who earned 1’s and 2’s to explain to you that it’s not as easy as some think it is.

Don’t take Art History unless you are willing to work at it. Jakeus speaketh the truth.

**new question, what’s harder AP Art History or AP US History? **

AP US History. No contest.

^ I disagree. I actually find APAH to be much harder than APUSH.
Just to prove to you how easy APUSH is, I’ll tell you all I did throughout the year to make a 4 on the exam:
-NEVER learned how to write a FRQ! Our teacher never taught us. When the exam came, we were left to fend for ourselves.
-VERY LITTLE training on the DBQ. We only wrote 2 essays in that class. And on both ‘practice DBQs,’ we were allowed to use our books!!!
-Several nights of cramming for tests.
-NEVER read the textbook (American Pageant).

All this being said, yet I still made a 4 o.o
(Granted, most of my friends, who had the same teacher, made a 2).
Now, I took AP Language with APUSH. And I will tell you that I would have NOT walked out of the room with a 4 if I did not take that class. I believe you said you’re taking AP Language? Right? If so, it will help A LOT! You’ll learn how to write a synthesis essay (the same thing as a DBQ), and that will assist you on the APUSH exam tremendously!!! Hope that your AP Language teacher is good, and should be fine. Also, if you take APUSH, read CRASH COURSE by REA! That book is AMAZING!!! I intensely studied it on the week before hte exam, and I owe my score to it! It is a lifesaver.

Now, APAH…I’m taking it now. It requires A LOT of memorizing! I actually enjoy the class…a lot, but the work associated with it is daunting!
Also, you can study smart to ‘beat’ the APUSH exam (that’s what Crash Course teaches you), but you can not do the same for the APAH exam…it’s impossible.

Also, colleges won’t frown on you for taking an ‘easy’ AP. They encourage it and praise you for taking it at all! No college in it’s right mind would disregard/scold a student’s tedious work (especially in a college level course).

Good luck
