During my freshman year, I used to have all honor classes possible and straight A’s. This was when I was a freshman, but this past year, I transferred to a new, harder school. This semester as a sophomore, I found out that my semester grades did not turn out well. I have 2 B’s, 1 B+, 1 A-, and an A, making an unweighted GPA of 3.40. Keep in mind that one of them is AP Calculus AB and both schools are fairly tough private schools (if that helps). I’ve heard that colleges care if they see grades improving over time, but I am not certain about my circumstance here. Please let me know of what is most probable for my future.
You are a sophomore. You have plenty of time to bring your grades up. It will be clear that you switched schools. That will help mitigate your grades a little. We can’t predcit anything for, you. It goes without saying that you want to have the highest grades you can get. Maybe the grades you have are as good as as it gets. When the time comes, apply to an appropriate range of colleges.
