Usually directed studies classes are easier than a normal class so i was just wondering if colleges would look down upon a student taking a directed studies class.

Is that like an independent study? I’m taking AP Euro by independent study, and I didn’t get rejected anywhere, including at Brown and UChicago, so I don’t think (assuming that’s the same as directed studies) they look down on it at all. I think that if you are able to learn the material (not that they’d be able to know), it shows that you are very responsible and self-motivated.

go use that directed studies class to make USABO or USCho semifinalist and it looks far more impressive than any other useless HS class.

most directed studies classes replace useless HS classes anyways

What’s a directed studies class?? I’m taking three classes right now through “independent study” with individual teachers, and I got into almost all of the colleges to which I’ve applied, so it’s definitely not a problem. My independent study classes are easier than the normal class, but I couldn’t fit the regular class into my schedule so I used independent study as an alternative.
