do colleges only look at your highest sat ii scores???

ok, so today i took the sat ii, but on the third test my brain was totally worn out and i think i did horrible on it!!! but i didn't wanna cancel all my scores because i did good on the first two. so do you guys think that colleges will only look at my highest scores? like, if i messed up on math ii today and if i were to retake it later, are they going to consider the highest score only? thanks so much!

no...when it comes to SAT II's, colleges see ALL of ur scores....unlike the SATwhere they see highest ones...

Ok the above poster is completely wrong. Colleges see all sat and sat ii scores sent to them. It would be dumb to cancel the scores if you did good on 2/3. Second of all theres a decent curve on math ii so dont be stressed. You can always retake it and they probobaly will use the highest score. Most colleges want 2 sat ii's and some not many want 3. Typically however many they ask for they will look at. Forexample if it asks for 2 sat ii's theyll look at your two highest from any category. The rest wont be nearly as important. If you took math ii and did poorly register for december and take that. Its too late for ed for most schools neway so it wouldnt hurt to retake it. If you have any questions pm me and ill get back to you

yes, they will see all my scores, but what i'm talking about is whether they'll only consider the highest score of two scores of the same subject. for example, if i got a 600 on math ii the first time, and then a 800 the second try, are they going to only consider the second score?

i'm a junior and i still got a year before college apps. ok, so even if i got like a 400 on a test it won't hurt my chance if like for my top three scores i got 800s?

well obviously they will be elated by ur increase .... wouldnt it be a positive for them to see an upward trend in ur score??

and pollyo: yes all scores are sent to colleges but SAT wise...majority of colleges look at ur highest composite score...not from single sitting...

Nothing technically hurts you in admissions. It wont help you either but it can help others. A 400 is unacceptable lol and if you get that you should def cancel. I mean if you have 3 scores above 700 dont stress about one being a 600. Despite what people think ad coms are human. And not trying to be mean but your a junior, have fun in life and dont stress about college. If you care this much youll at least get into the flagship of your state school

ok, consider this: if i definitely got a 800 on chinese, 750+ on math ii, but like a 200 on math i because i literally fell asleep due to lack of sleep, should i cancel or keep my scores?????? errrrrrrrrrrrr i'm so worried!!!!

Where did you get that information ?

that's what i got today, lol, i know, it's horrible! but i really did fall asleep...

youre too stressed out, often thescores come back better than you thought they were. If you think you failed keep those scores and retake it in december. But just asking why did you take math i and II. Colleges think thats a cheap way to get subject tests out of the way

oh, actually i was signed up for us hist today, but i just didn't have time to study for it, so i had to exchange it for something else, and math i was the only thing that i didn't have to study for, so.... but i guess i should've just omitted it, but the lady at the test center told me to take three!!!!!!! arhhhhhhh.... like, i only did one, and fell asleep....... so what's that? like a 201?

should i cancel my scores???

You paid the $ to take it, might as well see how you did. What a waste of time and money to cancel...

What colleges look at best score from each section vs. best composite (not mix and match)?
