<p>ok i know that sounds stupid, but i know at my school we get weighted grades. what do colleges do about that? like i have a 4.5 GPA W, but it's obviously lower without the weight.</p>
<p>They look at the Unweighted and the Weighted. I think they find the Unweighted to be a better indicator of grades, from what I have heard.</p>
<p>What they're most interested in is rank. Someone on another thread had a 4.6 and was in the top 20%!! GPA just mens such different things at different schools.</p>
<p>Well they do look at what classes you take and stuff like that too...and I guess they would look at grades because 3 As and a C are equal in terms of GPA to 2 A-s and 2 B+s.</p>
