Do colleges see 1st semester senior year grades?????

<p>I was wondering if colleges see grades for the 1st semester of senior year???? I'm going to be applying to USC, a bunch of UC's, and some Claremont colleges...</p>

<p>UC's will see at when you send in your transcript. Some might ask for 1st semester grades if you're on the border line.. like Cal or ucla.
I'm not sure about USC...they might ask for a 1st semester..im not sure
Claremont colleges.. i think they look at your 1st semester grades.</p>

<p>None of the colleges will see it unless they tell you to send it..which a lot of privates do.</p>

<p>For the UCs and USC, they aren't required but they may ask you to send them if they need them to make a decision.</p>

<p>UCs won't ask to see them unless you're borderline between acceptance or rejection and they want to see how you've been doing so far.
USC will probably ask unless you're one of the top applicants.
I'm not sure about the Claremont colleges but they'll probably be like USC and ask unless you're one of their top applicants.</p>

<p>for the claremont colleges, you are required to send in midyear reports (via the common app). So yes, they do see your 1st semester senior grades (this is for all applicants)</p>

<p>Also true for most elite colleges. Mid-year reports are required, thus, unless you are ED or EA, the colleges will use your 1st semester performance in the admissions decision.</p>

<p>You self-report your grades for the UCs, but if your classes are in progress and you haven't recieved grades for them at the time you apply, you just put that and they see your grades when you turn in your final transcript after graduation.
USC asks for an official transcript with your application, and because the app deadline isn't till mid-jan., that usually includes sending your first semester grades. That's how they worked out for me, anyway.</p>
