Do Colleges See 2nd MP grades?

Do colleges see 2nd marking period grades before they make their decision to accept you or not when applying regular decision?

If your Fall semester grades are out, they have to be sent to the colleges. However, a college will not see your Spring term grades when they make their decision, but if they see that you’re failing, they may reconsider your admission…highly unlikely, but the point is to not fail senior year.

Many colleges will decline your admission if you fail a spring course after being admitted. The low risk course is to continue applying yourself to your classes.

If you are applying ED I, colleges will ask to see 1st quarter grades if you are on the quarter or trimester system. If on the semester system they would be unavailable for ED I. For ED II they will usually want 1st and 2nd quarter or semester grades. For RD 1st semester grades or 1st and 2nd quarter grades. For Common Application schools they will want the counselor’s report which will list any availible grades, GPA and current courses.
