Do colleges see my first semester grades as a senior in high school?

When I apply to colleges, will they see my first semester grades as a senior?

For Early Decision? For Regular Applications?

yep. they will eventually see your second semester grades as well.
for early decision you’ll be sending in your first semester grades, while for RD they’ll be on your transcript.

When applying EA/ED, schools will not see your first semester grades when making their decision. You send in your application in early Nov, and decisions are sent out by mid-Dec. First semester grades are generally sent out at the beginning of the new year. For the school where you matriculate, they will see your first and second semester grades at the end of the year and can rescind your admission if your grades fall significantly.

For RD, you will submit your first semester grades and the will be used in decisions. For the school where you matriculate, they will see your second semester grades as well and can rescind your admission if your grades fall significantly.

Three different systems:

1.Early Action/Early Decision:colleges that have either make admission such decisions usually in Dec or Jan of your senior year and go by grades through junior year for admission. At end of year you submit final transcript in June and they can can rescind if you blow senior year.

Schools with regular decision that make decisons in March/April of your senior year in high school: when you apply you send grades through junior year, you must then usually send a “mid-year” report that provides your first semester grades and then they base decision on grades through first semester senior year. After being accepted you submit final transcript in June and if you blow last semester they can rescind.

Schools with regular decision which make decisions before or by Feb of your senior year which includes majority of public universities and includes colleges that have rolling admissions which make decisions as applications are received beginning in October or November: they base admission decision on grades through junior year and then can rescind after receiving final transcript in June if you blow senior year.
