Do colleges see suspensions?

??? (10 char)

If it is on your permanent record, then yes.

Does it say the reason why the student was suspended?

And do suspensions always go on the student’s permanent record?

Last question…Can a college revoke a scholarship or whatever after seeing it?

I don’t think all suspensions go on your permanent record. For my school at least, I think we had one or two suspensions that did not go on permanent records. We had a junior who did a peaceful sit-in in rebellion of some rule instated in the library (with a facebook event and everything) and he was suspended for some technicality somewhere (I really don’t know the specifics), but I don’t think that went on his record.

The common app specifically asks the applicant about suspensions or other disciplinary actions including legal issues. The same question is also present on the school report form. Many schools have similar questions if they use their own forms instead of the common app. If you checked “no” and the school reports “yes”, a revoked scholarship is the least of your worries. You could be rejected for misrepresenting yourself, or if they discover it after you’ve been accepted you could be revoked.
