Or do A's show up as A's regardless of whether it is an A+ or an A-?

They see whatever your school sends. If it includes the pluses and minuses, they will see those. Since some high schools don’t have pluses and minuses, however, most colleges will just drop them.

“most colleges will just drop them.”

^^heh?? is that true fledgling? first I’ve ever heard that…

my school drops them. thats why all the kids at my school go begging to my teachers at the end of second quarter. it is really annoying- esp. when the teacher refuses to bump up that 89 and what do you know, you end up with a big fat B on your report card. its a sad sad number game =S

I think the entire UC system will just drop them (they actually tell you to drop them when you self-report you grades, and they pretty much say that they don’t want any rubbish from your school, in not so many words :P).

I’ve never heard that colleges don’t accept pluses and minuses… Most adcoms will respond to the perennial “OMG I don’t have straight A’s!” question by saying that a few A-'s or even gasp a B+ are nothing to freak out about, so I imagine they take the pluses/minuses into account.
