I’ve taken the SAT three times without prep, once in 8th grade and twice in 11th grade. My 8th grade score was a 2120 (750 math, 670 reading, 700 writing), and my 11th grade score was a 2380 (October: 800 math, 760 reading, 710 writing | March: 780 math, 800 reading, 780 writing).
I decided to just send all my scores because the colleges I’m applying to take the superscore, but will they be able to see the dates on which I took the tests? I’m worried about my 8th grade scores being used in consideration of my application. Would the admissions office take into consideration the age at which I took it then?
I may be wrong about this, but I thought that your 8th grade score would be automatically suppressed unless you asked CB to retain that score as part of your record. When you log into your CB account to send scores, does your 8th grade score appear?
BUT this is really not something you should worry about. Most schools superscore anyway - they look at your highest SAT scores in each section from whatever sitting makes sense. So they’d take your October math and your March reading and writing and probably not even look at your 8th grade scores.
And regardless, a 2120 is an excellent score for a HS student let alone someone in 8th grade.
