Do Colleges see your Final Exam grades?

I'm wondering if Colleges see your Final Exam Grades that you take at the end of every semester. I've gotten A's the first two quarters and I got a C on the final; which averages out to an A overall. Colleges recieve your transcript only right? On my transcript, there is no 1st ,2nd quarter or final grades, just the average grade (in this case the A, not: A, A , C).. So what will Colleges see?? Thanks!

If they only receive the transcript then they'll only see the grades on there which would be the average grade.

Wouldn't two A's and a C average out to a B?

i was thinking a B+ or something but who knows. Regardless, they probably won't see your C

^depends on how high the actual grades were, and how much weight was put on the final. It's definitly possible to have two A's and a C and still end up with an A. I think in one of my classes last year I figured out that I could get a 58 on the final and still end up with an A.

As for the original question, colleges don't see exam grades, just total semester grades.

Colleges DO NOT see final grades, ONLY semester grades, so you have nothing about which to worry.

It actually depends on how your school does it. In past years, my school did letter grades, where it didnt matter what percentages you had. If you got 2 A's....you needed a C or better on the final to get an A. If you had an A/B split...you needed a A to get an A. Now my school uses percentages...where the first quarter is 2/5, second quarter is 2/5, and the final is 1/5. All of the grades decide the final grade.
