Do Colleges See Your Nickname?

<p>There's a line for your nickname on the Common App and do colleges see that or just your real name? I've been using my real name for the college process, but I use my nickname to send all my emails to colleges.</p>

<p>After it asks for the nickname, it says, “Have you ever used any other names?”
Is this asking for any other names besides my real name AND my nickname I put? Or just any other names including the nickname I already wrote?</p>

<p>I wasn’t sure about that either, but I think that’s for if you’ve legally changed your name before. I don’t know if I’m right or not though.</p>
