Do colleges send rejections later???

Does anyone have verifiable proof or any knowledge about decision mailings? Is it true that some schools mail out acceptances before rejections? This seems like a very odd practice, but if anyone out there knows someone who works in an admissions office, or anything like that, please respond. Thanks.

no they dont do exactly that. its just that some schools send out acceptance packages by FedEx or priority mail, so acceptances arrive sooner than snail mail rejections.

Some kids at my school received letters from Wake Forest around last Tuesday and I have yet to receive mine, so I thought this was a little peculiar. Also, I received two letters today (from different schools) that were postmarked on the 31st, which was was well after the kids got their letters from Wake.

yeah, i haven't heard from wake either...

i even raced out to the mailbox this morning.

Has anyone heard from Wake? Or face the same dilema with a different school?
