Do colleges typically extend their deadlines when their server crash?

I know UC does, but would this be true for other colleges? USC's server has been dead for a while, now and their scholarship app deadline is Dec 1...

I was just about to pay the app fee, too :(

GR: if you were the admissions dean what would you, as a reasonable person, do?

Consequently, if you assume that the USC admissions dean is reasonable, a logical conclusion would be they’d mimic your suggested action, no?

Haha, point taken :P. Stress is getting to my brain :D.

This is the first time I’ve heard that. It’s good to hear.

Wake up early. My friend woke up at 5am to turn in his UC application…

I’d like to note I am not even halfway through their application haha…

I copied and pasted the prompts in a seperate page anticipating the crash ;)

If you need them I’d be happy to send them over… (atleast the ones I copied).

Try and try again.

It all depends… I’d usually advise turning that stuff in early if you can. It’s well-known that a lot of people rush in for the last minute, so don’t take the risk.

just ctrl+r (refresh) til you get it.

no other choice.

does anyone know what the application amount limit is for low income 4 person is?

GrimReaper, over on the USC forum a poster put up a link that has an email address you can use to let them know you are having technical problems. If you are unable to submit before the deadline, you will be covered if you send an email and include the information they ask for - good luck! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/819738-server-too-busy.html</a> Post #14

tsk tsk tsk, should have submitted earlier…

Well…they probably will but being one of those people who turns it in late probably also won’t reflect well on candidacy for a competitive school like USC.
