Do competitive UC's accept art portfolios

<p>… if the the applicant does not intend to major in art? Art has always been one of my passions, and i’m looking for a way to stand out.</p>

<p>If your school offers AP Studio Art, and you qualify to take it, then it’s the conventional way in high school to demonstrate passion, talent, and dedication to art. This AP course differs from others in that it requires that you prepare and submit an art portfolio.</p>

<p>Top UCs like Berkeley and UCLA will not review ANY unsolicited materials submitted (to keep the application evaluation process fair for all students). Any unsolicited materials submitted will be filed with your application (if the admissions office manages to match the name/application ID) but will not be reviewed. If the materials cannot be matched to your application, they will be set aside to be disposed after the application evaluation process is completed.</p>
