Do credits from a cc course automatically transfer over to my school?

I just finished taking a summer course at my local cc in hopes of getting an A and not having to take it at my school. Didn’t get the A unfortunately, so now I’m wondering if I’ll still be able to take it at my school without this B taking over.
A counselor at my school and another I spoke with at the cc both know that I was intending on transferring the credits, but does that mean it’ll transfer over on its own or would I have to do it myself? The nursing program at my school is extremely competitive, so the B would essentially eliminate my chances of getting in. I’m hoping that I can just take the full-semester course at my school without this summer failure ruining my chances.

If you take a college class, you have to let your college know.

There is no way to hide that you have taken the college course and recieved a B. There is a Clearinghouse that will have a record of your college course/transcript.

If the course is transferable is dependent upon your target college but it will still be on your record.

Would I be able to retake it at my college? Or would they just take the grade on record from the cc.

It is up to your college if they allow retakes on courses where you received a B. Most will only let you retake courses with a D or F grade. You need to contact your target college to find out.
