Do CSU's look at AP classes?

Hello~
does anyone know if csu's look at student's rigorous class schedule? such as the AP's etc
& the ec's?

Thanks!

P.S. Will challenging myself and take the SAT II's.. which are not required for CSU's... higher my chance of being admitted? as well as attaching an essay??

CSUs do not look at extra curricular activities. They do however allow you to figure in extra points into your GPA for honors and AP classes (I believe you are limited to counting 8 classes for extra points from 10th-11th grade, 9th grade honors classes do not count). Also, If you score a 3 or more on your AP test generally speaking, CSUs will count your test for college credits. I don’t think that the CSU system looks at SAT II scores at all. Basically the admissions process is just taking your weighted GPA (GPA not including meaningless electives and PE grades, but with extra points for honors or AP Classes) and combining it with your SAT I scores (they do not look at the writing portion) and then seeing if it matches up to their criteria for admissions. I hope this helps.
