Do CSU's look at AP's?

HIII~
does anyone know if csu's look at student's rigorous class schedule? such as the AP's etc
& the ec's?

Thanks!

P.S. Will challenging myself and take the SAT II's.. which are not required for CSU's... higher my chance of being admitted? as well as attaching an essay??

If you live in California and possess above a 3.0 GPA, you will likely be admitted, regardless of what you score on the ACT or SAT.

It’s CSU’s… Sure, AP’s will impress them, but then again it doesn’t take much to impress them into accepting you in the first place.

CSU? Aim higher, you’ll most likely get into a UC.

The lower-tier ones don’t really care about APs. But if you want to go to Cal Poly, SDSU, or another higher-ranked CSU school, the rigor of your schedule will be a lot more significant.

I second TRUFFLIE
Try for a UC. Maybe UC Davis and Irvine if you think you aren’t UC material. Heck you might even get into Berkeley and UCLA.
I encouraged my friend who had a low self-esteem. She felt stupid and aimed for SDSU.
But I helped her with her app, and now she’s headed off to UCSD! She even got into Berkeley, but she turned it down.

So you never know. Unless you get into, say, Merced or Riverside, then I understand choosing SJSU or Cal Poly. But hey, give it a shot?
