Do December ACT scores have to arrive before college deadline?

<p>Most of my college deadlines are January 1, but the ACT gets released around December 27. The thing is I would really like to see my scores before sending them in, because we are charged $10 for every test date score we send, and I don't want to send in these scores if they aren't better than my last ones. I guess my real question is, do college need the scores before the application deadline? Or can scores arrive a little bit after the deadline? Would sending them on December 28 cause a problem?</p>

<p>some schools do require that everything is in by the deadline, call Admissions to make sure.</p>

<p>and another thing, if you took writing then your writing score will not be out until after December 28th and i dont think act sends scores until everything is in…im not sure though.</p>

<p>I would assume schools that accept the January deadline for the SAT allow for the ACT to be sent in the days ending December. Right?</p>
