<p>One more thing: I’m biased because I was a 1st generation Chinese immigrant who grew up in a midwest urban area. My parents worked as a cook and waitress. I went to an inner city HS but was fortunate enough to excel. I was accepted at all colleges applied, eventually matriculating at an HYP college. Subsequently, I’ve remained active in recruiting/interviewing and have first hand knowledge of my alma mater’s commitment to recruiting economically disadvantaged kids (like I was).</p>
<p>Their incredible change to their premier financial aid packages is one of the things I’m most proud as an alumnus.</p>
