I read over a post here that if you are applying to graduate school, they look at your previous college GPA as well as your current college GPA.

BUT if I don't go to graduate school first, and try to find an internship/job at the Big 4(The biggest accounting firms in the USA), will they look only at my current college GPA? Or also require me to send my previous college transcript & GPA?

I will probably end with 3.6 gpa at my first college, and I'm hoping that I'll get a 3.8-3.9 at my transfer college. So do employers just see my 3.8 :)?

I spent 2 years at one college and will be transferring to another college next year.

The big 4 firm I am familiar with will ask for all college transcripts AND will recompute your GPA (for classes retaken). That being said they will put much more weight on your accounting classes.

I see, looks like there’s no running away from those bad courses.

I failed an elective class back in freshmen year, but if I get mostly A’s in my accounting classes, would they still list me as a candidate? The 3.6 at my first college is where the F is.

It was in Linear Algebra. I decided to take the class because it was interesting, however the class turned out to be horrible, the teacher was terrible, etc.

The highest math my school(George Mason) requires for accounting majors is Calc I.

Hopefully they don’t look too harshly at it…
