Do engineering majors have to take a foreign language?

Sorry to have to ask this. Tried to get info from the web site, but it was very confusing. The course list in the engineering dept. does not indicate a foreign language requirement, but the general requirements for a BA do. However, engineering is a BS degree, but there is nothing on the website for BS degrees.

Any clarity from anyone out there?

Thanks.

As a PSU engineering alum, the answer is a categorical NO. While all BA degrees have a language requirement, BS degrees do not unless there is a specific need. Scheduling a full series of language courses is difficult for engineering majors but not impossible for those who have that interest.

Thanks so much.
