Do engineering stipends stack?

I’m eligible for two $2500 stipends from the College of Engineering - will I receive both of them?

The first is “Students who have a 32-36 ACT or 1400-1600 SAT (math and verbal scores only) and at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA will receive $2,500 per year for four years”

The second is “Students in receipt of National Merit or National Achievement awards automatically qualify for an Engineering Leadership Scholarship of $2,500 per year for four years. Students must declare an Engineering major before the start of freshman year to qualify.”

$5000/year on top of the University’s 10 semesters + $3500/year stipend would be amazing.

I don’t think that you get both eng’g scholarships…

You’d get…

Free tuition (presidential and NMF)
Free housing for one year (NMF)
2000 study abroad (NMF)
3500 stipend (NMF)
iPad
2500 eng’g
(so, a total of 6000 per year stipend for 4 years)

I’m thinking that Just like you don’t get double tuition (NMF and Presidential)…you don’t get double eng’g.

But, contact Saskia at the bottom of that page and ask

You only get one $2500 scholarship. Son is a ChemE major who matches your qualifications, and only gets one.

Still a nice package with that and your NM $3500 on top of tuition and room. :)
