Do especially eloquent Profs still get applause at the last lecture?

My general psychology professor and honors social science professor both got applauded. They both completely deserved it.

For one of my humanities courses we all applauded the professor on the last day. He deserved it without question.

One of the psych classes over summer, we all applauded (which I initiated hehehe).

I don’t think it’s unusual, and when a professor is that good, he/she definitely deserves a round of applause.

I’ve only had one professor that DIDN’T get a round of applause at the end of the last lecture of the class. He’s also the only professor I’ve had that I would consider to be genuinely bad.

I have never heard of this, but I might have to try start a slow clap situation at some point.

We applaud my biology and calculus professors at the end of every lecture. But then again, there’s no one like Lander. Weinberg hates when we applaud though…

In my classes, people almost always clapped at the end of the last lecture regardless of whether the professor was any good.
