<p>i dont think they matter that much, as long as ur course grade is good, after all its just 1 test, everyone has a bad test day</p>

<p>really does depend on the school...mine only puts final year grades (of which midterm and final exams are 20% combined) on the official transcript...</p>

<p>at my school they probably do, because they go on the report card, and they affect your gpa</p>
<p>mine doesn't; it just goes to my cumulative grade. I love it because I usually work hard on regular works, and slack off for the final and I still get an A.</p>
<p>The only class I've studied really hard for final was AP chem, because it was worth like 25% of your total grade, and the most questions were right from the AP exams from the past.</p>
<p>not here...through first semester of senior year, 75% for the tqo quarter grades, 25% for the exam grade. only one grade (the average) is marked for the class.</p>
<p>for 2nd semester seniors, the final is 20% of the Q4 grade. then a trend is applied...a-->b earns a b grade while b--> a earns an a grade. again, only one grade is noted for the class on the transcript. :)</p>

<p>Only thing my HS puts on the transcript is the average for the year in each class, the credit earned, and the weighting for each class. They don't record plus or minus.</p>
