I recently realized that Syracuse requires a mid-year report on the common app. The thing is that I have a 3.91 UW GPA right now (I got 1 B sophomore year and 2 junior year - 1 per semester), but I'm most likely going to get 2 B's this semester. I'm applying for engineering and one of these B's is in AP Environmental Science. I slacked off so much in that class and it backfired on me. This is the first B I've gotten in a science class, so will this look bad? To make things worse, I forgot a word in one of my sentences in the Syracuse interest essay. Will these factors severely hurt my chances for getting in and merit $? I also have a 32 ACT, decent EC's, and 35/1000 rank but that will probably drop down to around 45 after this semester.

Our counselor said that SU requires a mid year if it is available when a student applies. She said SU does not require a 1st quarter report card so she didn’t send one. But since I did so well, I asked her to send it although not required. Wanted SU to see that my 2 AP classes and 2 college courses (including an SU course) were all A’s.

@TylerJL I applied a couple weeks ago through RD, so is it mandatory for me to send in my first semester grades after winter break?
