Hi, I have a quick question.

Do most students go out on weekends or do they stay in the dorms and do their homework?

Well...if you have 2 papers and a midterm on Monday, you'd be sure as hell working in your room....

No, people do party around here. There's usually several events going on every Friday and Saturday ranging from exclusive (and if you want...somewhat elitist) final clubs events (some are more elegant and snotty, others are rather umm...lets just say sketchy) to other all-house orgies and festivities. Larger organizations and clubs sometimes hold events as well (such as the school daily paper The Crimson) but you often have to be part of the group to get in. All in all, theres plenty of places for you to hit up.

You will no doubt experience a few weekend each semester where you'll have no choice but to stay in your room and do some work friday and Saturday night...but if you plan accordingly, work Friday and party the next day or vice versa. It's doable...

WindCloudUltra is absolutely right. If you want to party, you will find time to do so. For example, I have two papers and an exam this week, but I went out to party last Saturday (and bounced at one too, since I'm on the House Committee for my house) and the Friday before as well. Next week, I have an organic chemistry exam, but there's the Leverett House's 80's Dance on Saturday, and I'm planning on going to that too.

As long as you plan ahead, you should be fine! But of course, parties come to a grinding halt during the second week of reading period, where everyone starts to study for their final exams that start the week after.

It absolutely depends on what you want to do. It's not hard to find parties every Friday and Saturday night- there are a few upperclass dorms that are more or less standard locations for parties.

I also disagree that you'd ever HAVE to work on Friday or Saturday night- not many students do, and most who do are doing so by choice. Even if you have a lot of work due Monday, you could do it during the day on Saturday or on Sunday.

I agree with the above posts. I hear the Monday night Karaoke is a good time too.
