So I got a 730 in the math section of the SAT I and a 690 in the subject test for US history and 700 in english literature sat subject test ... but I got an 800 in the math II sat II and a 5 in the AP us history test and a 5 in AP english language test. Do the perfect scores in the harder tests offset the low scores in the easier versions of the same subject? The reason for the low history score was it was about a month or so after I took the AP, so I had forgotten some and was a bit out of practice. The other differences were arbitrary. So? I feel like that 690 is a big blemish in my application but I am really proud of that 5 in history.

I really hope so...I know a couple kids who did horrible on the SAT reading but got 5s on the AP Lang test...

yeah... anyone else?

They probably do have some effect. I mean, if an adcom saw that a person got an 800 on Math II they would probably assume that the applicant was good at math. A 730 on the math section of the reasoning test is good enough (especially coupled with an 800) that I wouldn't worry about it.
