Hi,
The only piece of the course recommendations of the colleges that I want to go to (Harvard, MIT, CalTech, Stanford) is foreign language. I only have two years of foreign language completed in high school. It was a stupid mistake to take Spanish rather than German. Will these highly selective colleges completely ignore my application if I do not meet their foreign language recommendations?
Do highly selective colleges completely ignore your application if you do not meet their course recs
I’d guess that you will look at your application, but that your application will be at a disadvantage if you don’t have all of the required/recommended coursework completed. These schools have tons of highly qualified applicants who do have all of the required/recommended coursework. If for any reason your HS did not offer Spanish after level 2 then you should ask your guidance counselor to note that in your recommendation.
