Do Honors Courses Make A Difference?

Whatsup guys. So here is my dilemma; I'm a soon to be sophmore at my local community college, and was wondering how much of an impact honors courses would have on my transcript. I've asked around, but haven't heard anything worthwhile. So my question is, if i enroll in honors courses from now until i transfer (and manage to maintain or improve my GPA), will i have any sort of advantage?

Any help is appreciated.

Enroll in the honors courses if you don’t think it’ll affect your grade in the class. Of course honors would look better than regular, but not a whole lot. If you think you’d get an A in regular, but a B in honors, don’t take honors.

Some universities don’t transfer the grade from a cc, only the credit so I’d check to see if what their policies on honors credit is. Like jrt336 said, it’s not worth it to take an honors course unless you can ace it just as easily. However if they only transfer credit(and keep it as honors) but not the grade, maybe it IS worth it to take honors because getting a B wont matter. Just research a little and email an advisor at each of the universities you’re considering.

I would take the course which is taught by the better professors, regardless of whether that’s the general or honors version.
