Do I Add My Failed AP Scores?

For the Common App and UC App, is it recommended to add the test scores of AP tests that I didn't pass?

I am very bad at science, and did not pass the AP Biology and AP Computer Science A tests. However, I am strong in math and history and passed AP Calculus BC, AP World History, and AP US History with 4's and 5's. Does adding 1's and 2's on my application look bad as they are compared with the 4's and 5'? Will putting the low scores decrease my chances?

Thanks for any input!

Where are you applying?

Not applying to top schools but they are fairly competitive.

UCB (#1 choice), UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCD (Safety), UCR (Safety)
Claremont McKenna College (#2 choice)
USC
Carnegie Mellon University
University of Michigan, Ann Arbor
Boston College
University of Texas, Austin

I don’t see any reason to include them. You’re not required to put them down so it wouldn’t be considered lying by omission and they certainly won’t help you, although when you send the score report they will appear anyway. Nonetheless, no reason to emphasize them even more.

The Duke admissions person told me that they can’t make any judgements if you don’t send an AP score, although I wonder how that is actually applied in practice.
just wondering, in addition to a 1 or 2 would you put down a 3?

Well then don’t send them if they are not required.
